Wolves 0-2 Arsenal: Gunners go top with hard-fought victory over hosts

Arsenal overcame a challenging week by securing a 2-0 victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux, propelling them to the top of the Premier League standings. This win also marked their sixth consecutive away league clean sheet, setting a new club record.
The guests, aiming to bounce back after their first league loss of the year followed by elimination from Europe, made a strong start. Kai Havertz attempted a shot early on, but Jose Sa made a routine save.
Bukayo Saka also challenged the goalkeeper with a header, while Gabriel Jesus missed the target from long range.
Declan Rice had a couple of shots from outside the box, but Wolves gained confidence in the first half. Joao Gomes beat Jakub Kiwior and forced a save from David Raya.
The match seemed headed for a draw at halftime, but Leandro Trossard had other plans. He scored a beautiful goal from Jesus' pass to give Arsenal the lead, marking his best scoring season in the league.
The Gunners were full of confidence as Havertz attempted a volley early in the second half, but Sa saved it. Ben White missed from distance.
Wolves were under pressure for the first 25 minutes of the second half, but Mario Lemina, a substitute, showed the danger of a 1-0 scoreline with a shot saved by Raya.
Mikel Arteta's team held onto their one-goal lead in the final minutes, choosing to defend and absorb Wolves' attacks to protect their advantage.
After surviving some tense moments, Arsenal had chances to seal the win, and Martin Odegaard did just that, scoring at the near post to secure a sixth consecutive victory over Wolves.
On the other hand, the hosts are now winless in five games, with Gary O'Neil's side remaining in 11th place with little left to play for this season.
