Woods, Rahm miss PGA Championship cut

LIV Golf's Jon Rahm and Tiger Woods, a 15-time major champion, missed the cut at the PGA Championship in Louisville, Kentucky, after the second round on Saturday.

The second round spilled over after play was suspended on Friday due to darkness, and Rahm and Woods were on the wrong side of a one-under cut, the first in PGA Championship history.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, former Masters champion Rahm had the longest active streak of major cuts made at 18 in a row heading into this week.

Hideki Matsuyama now has the longest active streak, having made the cut in 16 consecutive major championship starts, including this week.

Rahm, a Spaniard, missed out after going even-par through the first two rounds, while Woods finished well behind with a six-over-par 77, leaving him at seven over.

Among those who missed the cut were Masters runner-up Ludvig Aberg, U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark, 2022 U.S. Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick, and Michael Block, the club professional who stole the show at last year's PGA Championship by finishing tied for 15th.
