Woods to return to the PGA Tour at Riviera, alongside Thomas and Woodland.

Tiger Woods will play alongside fellow major winners Justin Thomas and Gary Woodland in the first two rounds of this week's Genesis Invitational at Riviera, where he is making his PGA Tour debut since April of last year.

According to the groupings and tee times released on Tuesday, the trio will play Thursday at 12:25 p.m. ET (1725 GMT) and Friday at 2:54 p.m. ET for the second round.

Woods, who will be wearing his new Sun Day Red apparel brand this week, has not competed in a PGA Tour event since the Masters last April, when he made the cut but withdrew before the third round due to plantar fasciitis.

The 15-time major champion underwent ankle surgery later that month and returned to professional golf at the end of November in the Hero World Challenge, an unofficial PGA Tour event with a small field and no cut.

Woods, who will hold a pre-tournament press conference on Wednesday, finished one under par through four rounds last year at Riviera, sharing 45th place.

The Genesis Invitational, one of the PGA Tour's eight Signature Events this year, has a halfway cut and a $20 million purse, with the winner receiving $4 million.

Woods is also serving as tournament host this week.
