World number five Jessica Pegula unsure about French Open

Jessica Pegula, ranked fifth in the world, expressed that she has recovered from an injury that affected her claycourt season.
Despite feeling better, the American tennis player remains uncertain about her participation in the upcoming French Open, scheduled to begin on May 26th.
Pegula, known for her consistency on the WTA Tour last year, clinched the Montreal title before the US Open. However, she has faced challenges this season due to health issues and injuries.
After pulling out of Stuttgart and Madrid, Pegula announced her decision to skip Rome this week. She mentioned the possibility of missing Roland Garros as well.
In an Instagram post, Pegula informed her followers about her situation, stating that she might have to skip both Rome and RG. Although she feels good, she emphasized the need to gradually ease back into training.
The specific details of her latest injury were not disclosed. Earlier in February, Pegula had to miss tournaments in the Middle East due to a neck problem. Her most recent competition was in the Billie Jean King Cup in April.
