WSL: Manchester City stun Chelsea to move level at the top of the WSL

Bunny Shaw scored the only goal of the game in Manchester City's sensational 1-0 win at Chelsea on Friday, bringing them level on points with their hosts at the top of the Women's Super League, though the Londoners remain the top scorers.
Chelsea's unbeaten run of 33 WSL games at home ended, and they had not lost in the league at Kingsmeadow in more than two years.
Chelsea's Erin Cuthbert made a rare error in midfield, losing the ball to Jessica Park, who slipped it through for Bunny Shaw to advance and break the deadlock in the 14th minute with her 43rd WSL goal in 52 games.
Fran Kirby fired a shot just wide in the 34th minute after Lauren James' scything run split the City defence, and Cuthbert sent a stinging drive just over the bar just before halftime as Chelsea attempted to claw their way back into the game.
City chose to defend their lead, and Cuthbert nearly made amends for her mistake in the 77th minute, but her shot from Johanna Rytting Kaneryd's pass went past the far post and wide.
Chelsea came even closer in second-half stoppage time, but Khiara Keating made a brilliant double save to deny them, and the visitors held on for the win, leaving both teams on 34 points at the top of the table.
Arsenal, in third place with 28 points, will face Manchester United, in fourth place, at a sold-out Emirates Stadium this Saturday.
