WSL: Spurs stun Arsenal to claim historic derby victory

Tottenham defeated Arsenal 1-0 in the Women's Super League on Saturday, spoiling Arsenal's chance to move to the top of the table. Martha Thomas scored the only goal of the game.

Tottenham are sixth in the table with 15 points after ten games, while Arsenal are second with 22 points and trailing Chelsea on goal difference.

Arsenal dominated, with Caitlin Foord hitting the post in the first half and Alessia Russo heading just wide after the break.

Spurs took the lead against the run of play in the 58th minute, with Thomas slotting in Celin Bezit's cross.

Tottenham's victory snapped Arsenal's seven-match winning streak.
