Zverev defeats De Minaur to book French Open semis spot

Alexander Zverev, the fourth seed, secured his place in the semi-finals of the French Open with a 6-4, 7-6, 6-4 win over Alex de Minaur, the 11th seed from Australia.

Despite facing some challenges during the match, Zverev managed to maintain control and claim the first set with a crucial break in the seventh game.

The second set was a closely contested battle, with both players exchanging serves and eventually going to a tie-break.

Zverev showed great resilience by fighting back from a 4-0 deficit in the tie-break and eventually winning the set.

In the final set, De Minaur put up a strong fight, but Zverev was able to secure a break and a 4-2 lead.

Although De Minaur managed to recover the break, Zverev regained the advantage and closed out the match with the help of an unforced error from his opponent.

Zverev will now face Casper Ruud, the seventh seed, in the semi-finals after Novak Djokovic's withdrawal due to a knee injury.
